Privacy Policy of Parentingjoy website
I value my privacy and I am sure you value yours too. To be honest, I am not interested in collecting your personal information of any kind. I am aware of the fact that information is king these days and companies now make money not by producing honest-to-goodness products and services that will benefit people but by collecting data and selling the data to other companies. I am not into this practice. Somehow, it just seems fraudulent to me regardless of all the buyers-beware disclaimers they may put up front.
Nevertheless, the smooth running of a website makes it necessary for some personal information to be collected. Essentially, the most I want to deal with is your email address so that I have a way to contact you in situations where a response from me is needed, or when you sign up for the mailing list to be kept updated on what is happening here. I do not systematically keep a database of your email and personal information. Most of them are actually managed automatically by email subscription and other systems that are transparent to me.
The “system” has generated a kind of privacy policy template that includes some more technical information that you may be interested to know. Here are some that are more relevant to my website :
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
